Ash Wednesday

Lent:  A season of renewal, self-discipline, focus, abstinence and choosing cleansing over comfort.

"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit." -Aristotle

God, who is all charity and light, wants to make us perfect as he is perfect, shot through with his radiance.  The first step in our healing, then, is not being comforted.  It is taking a hard look at the cleansing that needs to be done. –Frederica Mathewes-Green

Hey! I have been drawn, through many different and seemingly random sources, to the Espiscopal church over the last year or so. I realize this a very personal question, but I'm asking anyway! In your experience, what drew you to the Episcopal church? Are there specific books/readings you would recommend that would give me a deeper understanding? So many roads are leading me that I now feel a responsibility to follow and learn what I can.

Thanks Ang! You're a wealth of good info! lol
